Pancakes and a Haircut, Two Bits

Frankie helps to make the pancakes. Like Phoebe, it is his favorite breakfast. He will eat about 8 pancakes and sometimes more if we let him, so its about time he learned how to make them. Maybe we can start sleeping in if Phoebe and Frankie can make themselves a warm breakfast.

Learning to share is tough.

Phoebe takes over. Frankie observes.

We're not sure what he said, but it sounded like "keep 'em coming!"

Frankie's locks have been getting unruly, but we were in no rush to give him his first real haircut. Then he watched Superdad give himself his bimonthly haircut and he made it clear to us that he wanted on too. One chair, no waiting.

Lots of concentration between these two.

Superdad asks if Frankie likes...

... and he demands a refund! Never to young to learn you get what you pay for!!

Pumpkin Moonshine

We picked pumpkins a couple of weeks ago, but did not carve them until this past weekend because if you carve them too soon they get all moldy and gross. About a week before Halloween is good. Phoebe with pumpkin. Frankie with one shoe.

Back inside, Superdad makes the incision like a German surgeon.

Phoebe demonstrates how she wants it to look.

The finished product.

We made one scary and one happy. Just to be clear, we're talking about the pumpkins, not the kids!

Boo!

The Great Pumpkin, Pt. 2

We returned to the same pumpkin patch that we went to last year with our pals the Dunlaps to stock up on the official vegetable of Halloween.

Phoebe applies the sleeper hold to Frankie. Lights out!

Phoebe bounces on some poor pumpkin. We left this one in the patch.

Frankie sees one he likes.

Phoebe picks a winner.

Frankie almost throws his back out. Lift with the legs!

Pumpkin Phoebe.

Corn cob Frank.

The whole crew.

We were out in the country and had worked up a hunger picking all those pumpkins, so hit Bozo's for dinner before heading home. We forgot to take pictures of the meal so you'll have to take our word for it that the coconut meringue pie is fantastic.
