Dad Date
Rather than go to the school father-daughter dance, Phoebe chose to get sushi and catch a movie with dad.

GSL 5K
The kids' school has an annual 5K and Amie and both kids ran it this year. Phoebe has run it before and always placed. Amie always walks it, but this year trained to run it. Frank had never run or walked it. Frank took off sprinting with the serious adult runners at the front of the pack.
Go Mom!
When the front runners approached the finish line, Frank was not far behind them.
Still sprinting. He finished first in his age at 22:46.
Phoebe just a few minutes behind finishing third at 26:06
Mom also did great and finished in a little over 30 minutes.

Both kids went on to play their soccer games about an hour later.
From the newspaper. Lists Frank as Frank Plumler because he filled out his own race form. Might be fast, but his penmanship needs some work.
