Wall Doxey is a Mississippi state park that we stopped at on our way back from a day trip to Oxford.  Frankie on top of the abandoned paddle boat rental place:

Waffle Shop

A family Spring Break tradition - come downtown to meat dad at work and then go to the Waffle Shop at Calvary Episcopal for lunch.  It's only open during lent, so you got to get it while you can.  Waffles and chicken hash:

Spring on the Block

One day about a month ago we had a really warm day in between a bunch of really cold days and it seemed like the whole neighborhood was out and about.  It was great.

Stuckey Museum

There's this guy Stuckey that we've met when we've gone to Hatchie Coon that is the only member of the place that lives in the area. He lives close buy on farmland that his family has owned forever and in the center of it is small town with about 5 buildings and a huge cotton gin. He turned the old general store into his own private museum that is open by invitation only and it was an amazing collection of junk.

Hatchie Coon

We got another invite to Hatchie Coon, the hunting lodge in Arkansas where our friends belong.  Tons of stuff to do - like little boats:

Fishing.

Trout.

Kids shooting BB guns.

Boat keys.

Lots of water all around.

Playing cards.

Fire and taxidermy.

And bunk beds!

AR Snow

Pioneer Springs

Deep in Shelby Forest is an old spring that comes out of the base of the Mississippi River bluff.  It's a nice little walk through the woods to get to it and a great way to kill an afternoon on a sunny day.

Olympics

The kids got really into the Olympics this year and trying to play some of the sports. Backyard hockey:

Snow

The kids finally got a snow day… and it was on a Saturday.  Bummer!

And there was barely enough snow to get the sled out.

There was enough for some snowballs while it lasted.
