New Years
Just because you stay in for NYE doesn't mean you can't live it up. Fondue!
Our traditional New Years Day hike was fun while it lasted but cut short by rain.
Seek shelter!

XMAS Pt. 2
But first... one more pool shot. Hot Chocolate in a pool at Christmas? These two couldn't have been happier.
After drying off it was time to head to Smitty's to meet up with Bart, Amy, Dean and Elodie who it seems like we just saw this summer. Here's Phoebe with a Big Red and a pile of meat.
When we met these guys at Smitty's two years ago, Dean and his sister were newborns.
Running through the piles of hardwood out back.
Group shot. After Smitty's it was off to stay a night with Anne, Alex and Charlie back in Austin and we had a blast but somehow wound up with no pictures. No idea how that happened - probably because the kids never slowed down enough to take any and we had tacos in our hands pretty much the entire time.
Christmas morning - Phoebe and the boxing robots that she asked for and got from Santa. So much fun playing with these things.
And here's the boy with his big gift - a bb gun.
We set up a firing range in the back yard.
Everyone got into the action.
Lots of walks were taken around town to walk off the holiday grub.
The kids have been really into throwing the football so we made stops on the long drive home to stretch our legs and throw some bombs.

XMAS Pt. 1
Phoebe hung this in her window driving through Dallas. Got a couple of funny looks in traffic.
We always see this crazy city of dome structures and talk about stopping and this time we did.
The place was truly bizarre. This was the arcade.
A Texas holiday tradition - swimming outdoors in the heated pool of the Hotel San Jose!
Doug Sahm Hill overlooking he crane-filled skyline of downtown Austin.
The kids noticed the state map and of course stomped on Dallas. They are really taking this hating Dallas thing seriously.
We saw this giant Eddie Van Halen stocking! Very exciting.
