Summer Vacation - Day 2

Every trip to San Diego starts with pancakes on the pier.

Wouldn't change a thing about this place - great pancakes and huevos rancheros sitting right over the ocean watching all the pelicans fly by.

It was off to Balboa Park after a lazy afternoon on the beach.  Train ride:

Finally big enough to reach for the rings!

Yes, we did get the brass ring and the free ride.

After such a stressful day, the kids needed to unwind in the hot tub before dinner back at Aunt Kelly's.

Summer Vacation - Day 1

After unpacking at Aunt Kelly and Uncle Boog's, we threw on our trunks and strolled to the beach.

Summer Loose Ends

The kids have taken to sitting the pig in the empty chair anytime a parent isn't home for dinner.

Grease at the Orpheum.

The kids got a lot of use out of a hand me down tent they got from the next door neighbor.

More 4th of July

After the parade, we rolled on up to Arkansas to celebrate what was left of the Fourth. But first, one more shot from the parade that somehow got missed. Frankie shooting the fire truck hose with help from a fireman:

We met up with some friends to catch fireworks at Lake Thunderbird marina.  There was an airshow before the fireworks that involved two old Army choppers cruising about 10 feet over the crowd.
