Halloween Party Pt. 1

One of our favorite weekends of the year is the Halloween Party in AR.  This year Phoebe brought her friend Anna who has been to the party a few times before. A quick stop for dinner on the way up:

Got to decorate the cabin.

There was work to be done before the fun.  Here the kids help bring in the floating dock for the winter.

Once the dock is tied off it can be unhooked and pulled in.  Even with two grown men on it, some kids can pull it in without too much trouble.

Costume time.  Frankie looking like Norm Van Brocklin with no face mask.

Phoebe was Harriet the Spy.

Anna was Little Red Riding Hood's daughter.

Dad's job every year is to hang and control the piñata.

Summer Leftovers

Some pictures that didn't fit in anywhere else.

Attempting to toss a pie.

Just hangin' with the Mayor A.C. Wharton.

The story here is that Frank said he was sore and asked Phoebe for a massage.  Phoebe said she'd do it for a dime.  Frank got his massage, paid the dime and then later snuck into Phoebe's room and stole it back.  He said the massage wasn't any good and ended up giving her a nickel.  She wrote off the other 5 cents as the cost of doing business with little brothers.

A turtle that we found in the front yard.
