Christmas, Pt. 2 - Memphis to Pittsburgh

We left Saturday morning on the long drive to PA. We stopped in Nashville for brunch and stayed at a hotel in Louisville on Day 1. The hotel had an indoor pool and Phoebe and Superdad took a dip. We were apparently having too much fun to take out the camera, because the first picture we took was at Toast on Market for breakfast in Louisville.

We left KY heading north on Day 2 and began to see snow and ice between Louisville and Cincinnati. By the time we got to Pittsburgh to stay with our pals Carmela and Eric, there was more snow than these kids had ever seen.

We all went to Pamela's for breakfast for the Steel City's best pancakes. Eric and Superdad fueled up for a long day of record shopping at Jerry's and The Attic while the ladies took the kids to the Children's Museum.

Phoebe and Frankie wait for their food with a snowy Forbes Ave. in the background. Years ago, The Lady of the House and Superdad lived in the amazing old cottages that were just a block down Forbes from Pamela's. They have since been leveled.

The boys.

Chillaxin' at the Squirrel Hill Library. Love the glove!

At the Mister Rogers Neighborhood set at the Children's Museum.

Fred's Keds! Mr. Roger's sweater is at the Smithsonian, so that will have to be another trip.

Fascinated by the trolley.

Playing Mr. Rogers' piano with Carmela.

The water room at the museum.

Phoebe got to make paper at the Children's Museum. This is the first step:

Next she cranked this thing.

And then she had paper. Go Phoebe!

As much fun as we were having all over town, the hi-lite of the visit for the kids was spending two days with Carmela and Eric's dog, Pogo. POGO! The kids have not stopped talking about him.

More fun than her cats.

Phoebe and Frankie were bummed to leave their new BFFs. Putting up the Here Comes Trouble crew is no small task - thanks yinz!

Note: lots of these photos were taken by Carmela.

Pogo misses all of the Team Plumley action! Next time you need to come up when it's warmer for some Kennywood fun and to stay longer:)
