Phoebe was on us all summer to take her bowling, but we just never got around to it. It took a rainy day in Arkansas to finally get us to the local lanes - Indian Hills Bowl.
It's an old 12 lane bowling alley with nice Native American touches like this sign marking the ladies room.
Phoebe got set up with her shoes and a 6 lb. ball. They asked if we wanted the bumpers in the gutters. I said that we didn't need them and they looked at little Phoebe and then they looked at me like I was insane. They we're right. 95% of Phoebe's balls would have never touched a pin if it wasn't for the bumpers.
Waiting at the ball return.
She tried not to cross the foul line, but the ball usually pulled her a few feet down the lane as she released it.
Father-daughter self portrait.
Phoebe liked seeing her name on the screen. Not bad for her first game ever.
The only thing good about Superdad's awful game was that he finished with 3 strikes in the 10th frame for his first ever turkey.
Go Phoebe!
