Phoebe led the kid team to victory.
It was HOT - like 100 degree hot - so every day saw several walks down to the river with lots of little stops along the way.
It's no problem getting hot on the way when you have a cool spring river waiting for you.
You work up an awful hunger being outside all day. Might was well head to the air conditioned comforts of the Copper Feather. The kids table shortly after Frankie ordered a round of Shirley Temples for all the kids. Class move. Even funnier is that the waitress just did it without conferring with the parents, not that there would have been any objection.
