Summer Vacation Pt. 2

Day trip to paddle the 11 Point River that runs through the Mark Twain National Forrest in Southern Missouri. Beautiful, cold river through nothing but wilderness. Other people were few and far between. Some pretty rough runs on this river, but no tumps. The kids did great in the front of each boat. We did set out do do 12 miles and ended up doing 20.

Pulled off to the side to make the small hike to Boze Spring, one of the cold springs that feeds into the river.  Most of the old mill that the spring used to power is gone, but the spring is still bubbling out 58 degree blue water.  The Ozarks still blow our minds with all this crazy and beautiful stuff.

Stopped at some small town burger joint after the float, and the nice lady let the kids pull their own soft serve.  Of course they both tried to make their cone as big as they could.
