We went to New York for our summer trip. Phoebe had been once before but the closest Frankie has got is Newark Airport two summers ago. After Phoebe got to go on an airplane to Canada, Frankie was really eager for his turn to fly.

Old pal Bart picked us up to the airport and then took us to old haunt Tom's Restaurant in Brooklyn for lunch. Lemonade before:

After a torrential downpour spoiled a trip to Brooklyn Bridge Park, we found ourselves enjoying a break in the rain in our old neighborhood. Phoebe wanted to see our apartment so we took her and as soon as we got to the stoop it started to pour again. This seemed like a good excuse to buzz our old landlords Matthew and Jaime to get caught up and out of the rain. We didn't think they'd mind as they've sent us a Christmas card every year since 1999! We were in luck - they buzzed us in and entertained us for an hour or so while the rain died down. They let Phoebe crank the old victrola:
And then the kids insisted in seeing the old pad - Apt. 3R.
